I’ve lurked here before, but never posted (that’s usually how it goes for me on these sites for a while), so I’m posting now.

Heyo! I’m Ania!

I’ve been into Animal Crossing since 2014. So…I’m not a super seasoned veteran, but I’m not a newbie, either. I always wanted to try out the series, but I didn’t really, REALLY have the urge to get one of the games until a friend on Miiverse posted hilarious New Leaf screenshots. So, I went ahead and got the GCN version and played around with that for a bit before getting New Leaf for my birthday. I fell in love with Animal Crossing then and there.

New Horizons really helped me to get out of a creative funk I was having. I used to love writing a lot, but I stopped doing so when depression sapped my energy to do many of the things that I loved. After getting New Horizons, I’ve had all kinds of creative ideas! Thanks to it, I’m writing again in the form of fanfics and text posts (and in-game comics when I get the motivation). It even encouraged me to post on this site’s sister site, Idol Story. I owe Animal Crossing a lot; it’s really helped me get through these hard times.

As of New Horizons, my favorite villager is Curlos! I have lots of faves, but I just really latched onto him. Now, I can’t imagine thinking of Animal Crossing without thinking of him. Last evening, I decided to try my hand at doing a cosplay of him! I’m really pleased with how it turned out.
